The Netflix app lets you access and watch the worlds leading streaming service for episodes, films anime, and kids’ shows on your phone. The movie streaming service has one of the best Android apps that let you stream and download at the same time. Subscribers can watch movies and shows on the service’s Instant Watch library.

The app comes with a straightforward and very simple-to-use interface. The home screen shows your most recently viewed and incomplete shows at the top for easy access. The featured content like popular shows and recommendations based on your viewing history is shown below.

Don’t like the movie options that show up on your screen? Just swipe up to view more content from various genres, then swipe left to view more shows from each genre. Also, browse for movies and shows by genres, like Action, TV Shows, and Comedies, by hitting the Browse button in the upper left, then choosing a genre.

The viewing controls on Netflix pop up with a tap and disappear after a few seconds while you watch a movie. A large button lets you scrub through the video with a little window. That shows the exact point you’re pointing at in the timeline — great for finding the part of the show you want to watch.

Netflix video control panel has a rewind button that lets you go back 10 seconds in the show, and the volume control is in the upper right.

When you touch a title, Netflix shows you all the details such as the star rating, synopsis, and a list of episodes for TV shows. A drop-down menu lets you quickly switch to a later season, and you can browse by an episode in the list.

The app is not free to use you will need to choose from a monthly or weekly payment plan. It does come free for the first month but you will still need to enter your card details in order to complete the subscription.

In the latest update to the app, they have added a gaming feature that lets you enjoy different arcade-style games on the app itself. For more movie options try checking out the Popcorn Time app.

2023 Netflix app Update

A Coming Soon row is being added to the home screen to let viewers know when TV series and movies are arriving and the option to set reminders. Currently, subscribers can navigate to the New & Popular menu to scroll through rows for Coming Next Week, Coming This Week, or Worth the Wait.

While those carousels will still be available, the prominent placement of Coming Soon can help eliminate the need to click anywhere else in the app to find release date information. The new feature is being introduced globally.

Viewers can also choose from four filters to make it easier to sift through My List: Movies, TV Shows, Haven’t Started, and Started. You’ll also be able to sort alphabetically, according to the date added to your watch list or a release date.
